I am a Program Manager and the IMLS-LSTA Coordinator for OLIS. In addition to management, my responsibilities include preservation and disaster planning, monitoring and reporting for the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant, special projects and OLIS administration. I serve on the State's Historic Records Advisory Board and I represent the needs of libraries and other cultural heritage organizations on the RI Emergency Management Agency.
My previous employers include the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, the RI State Archives, the Brown University Archives and Duke University Library. I have Master degrees in Cultural Anthropology from the American University and in Library Science from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and a BA in Anthropology from URI. I joined OLIS in 2000.
On a personal note, when deciding on a book to read, my first choices are literary or historical fiction. Favorite author: Louise Erdrich.
