The theme for iREAD’s 2022 summer reading program is "Read Beyond the Beaten Path". The broad motif of “summer camp at the library” can encompass a world of different summer experiences: from outdoor activities such as hiking, campfires, stories, and s’mores to nature programs, arts and crafts, music, and so much more.

Save the date for this day long virtual summit focused on all things summer. Join library staff from throughout New England to invigorate your Summer Reading Program planning. Rhody Critter Kits
The RIDEM Division of Fish and Wildlife offers free wildlife curriculum kits and learning resources for formal and informal K-8 educators through our Rhody Critter Kits Program. Each kit contains lesson plans, activities, videos, hands-on learning materials, and other resources curated by our Wildlife Outreach staff, with special emphasis on Rhode Island’s wildlife species, conservation work, and management practices.
Rhody Critter Kit Training
This training will be held on May 19, 2022 at the RI Division of Fish and Wildlife Outdoor Education Office in Arcadia Management Area, time TBD. Join us for a fun day in nature and pick up some new knowledge and resources to enhance your youth programming.
Adubon Society of Rhode Island
Audubon offers a variety of environmental education programs for school groups, scout troops, libraries, senior centers, garden clubs and more.
Aquatic Resource Education (A.R.E) Program for Children and Adults
The DEM - Fish and Wildlife A.R.E. Program provides free hands-on training and workshops for children and adults in freshwater and marine ecology.
DEM Wildlife Outreach Program
The Division of Fish and Wildlife serves students, families, hunters, and the public through a variety of unique, enjoyable programs. These programs provide participants with information about Rhode Island’s wildlife species and the work being done by our dedicated staff to protect, restore, and manage our state’s precious wildlife resources.
