Q: How do we report in-house circulations?

A: If materials are not checked out on a card, it doesn’t count as circulation (per federal definition) for the purposes of this report. Count for local use only.

Electronic Materials Circulations

Circulations of locally purchased Advantage and Advantage Plus titles, as well as cost-per-circ copies, are included in the prefilled circulation figures from Ocean State eZone:

  • #7.6 E-book Circulation: Ocean State eZone
  • #7.12 E-audio Circulation: Ocean State eZone

Circulation of electronic materials available for local patrons only should be reported by format in the relevant lines:

  • #7.5 E-book Circulation: Local
  • #7.8 E-serial Circulation: Local
  • #7.11 E-audio Circulation: Local
  • #7.14 E-video Circulation: Local

What circulation should be included here? Possible examples below:

  • CloudLibrary
  • Hoopla
  • Kanopy
  • Purchases for circulating e-readers
  • Tumblebooks
  • Comics Plus
  • Flipster (for titles purchased in addition to AskRI titles)
